The "Modular" Reunion
This Canadian rock band began playing together as teenagers in the 1960s under the name, The Mods. They changed their name to The Unforscene, secured a record contract and released a few singles, but never completed the planned album. Fast Forward to 2018, and four of the original members reunited to complete the album they never made 50+ years earlier. This website tells their story and showcases their music.

Biography
In 1966, Ron Dyer and Jerry Matheson formed a band called The Mods. They had been together for about two years when Dan Yard and Des Bosa joined, and John Murray joined shortly after that.
The Mods changed their name to The Unforscene and secured a recording contract in Los Angeles under that name.
The Unforscene began recording sessions with the following lineup:

- Ron Dyer ~ Drums, Vocals
- Jerry Matheson ~ Bass, Vocals
- John Murray ~ Lead Guitar, Vocals
- Phil Smeltzer ~ Bass, Vocals
- Dan Yard ~ Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals
Their single, “These Are the Words” made it to #1 on the Canadian charts.
